Congratulations to the winners of our Annual Creative Non-Fiction Contest!

Here are the winners of our Annual CNF Contest. Thanks to all the writers, who shared with us their writing, and to Kate Braid, for selecting the shortlisted pieces and winners.

First place: “An Atmospheric Pressure” by Nicole Breit, Port Coquitlam, B.C.

Second place:  “Boyish” by Logan Broeckaert, Toronto, O.N.

Honourable Mention: “Like a Love Story” by Christina Myers, Surrey, B.C.

You can read Myers’ piece through the link above. The essays written by the first and second place winners will be published in Room 39.4, out on newsstands in December, 2016.

Until our Annual CNF Contest opens again in December, consider submitting your best, unpublished short essays (under 500 words) to Room’s first ever Short Form Contest opening in October.
