Room Magazine is an incubator for new creators and an explorative space for emerging and established artists to grow. Our RoomMates are a vital part of creating equitable, diverse, and accessible arts environments.
What do you get out of it?
Writing resources and community, merch and goodies, early access tickets, behind-the-scenes updates from Room editors and staff, and more! RoomMates are our most involved and connected readers. We have a pay-what-you-can tier that will give you access to all of our bonus digital content, and our $5+ tiers come with a continuous subscription to Room Magazine—you’ll receive every issue in the mail, no need to worry about renewing. Depending on the tier you choose, you’ll get other exciting mail from us too!
Why should you care about becoming a member? What will your membership money go toward?
As a member, your dues will help pay, uplift, and support emerging artists. RoomMate contributions start at $1 a month and go toward paying writers and artists for their work in our magazine, on our blog, and at our events. They also support our mentorship program, the Indigenous Brilliance Collective, Art Ecosystem, and projects that support the wellbeing of the Growing Room editorial collective.
As a non-profit organization, all the revenue we make goes right back into our mission.
