Room is one of the most integrally diverse spaces in Canadian literary publishing today, but we need your help to keep it that way.

For half a century, our small nonprofit has been making room in literature, art, and feminism for underrepresented voices. We receive grants and are grateful to our strong core of subscribers, but running a magazine equitably is expensive. Our budget is not enough to pay our writers and artists what they deserve. This contributes to an environment that makes it harder for disadvantaged creators to keep making art. If you love Room, help our writers and artists make a living.

Room is an incorporated society and a not-for-profit organization, meaning any profits are reinvested directly into our programs and communities. However, as we are not a registered charity, we unfortunately can’t issue a tax receipt.
