Issue 48.2 Open Call for Submissions

Room Magazine invites you to submit your writing to our Issue 48.2, edited by Lena Belova, alongside Assistant Editor Nara Monteiro, and Shadow Editors Claire Diamant and Natasha Gauthier. The writing in this issue can be on any theme, and our editors are excited to weave together disparate and contrasting works, as well as stitch supportive threads that we may find inside the contest-winning pieces that will be included in this issue alongside submissions.

Our editors are interested in sharp, relevant, and provocative works of CNF, fiction that is visceral, concise, and of deep emotional resonance, and poetry that urges questions, dreaming, and feeling inside the reader. Throughout these forms, we are interested in strong narrative and poetic voices that command our attention. In our art submissions, we are seeking works of glitches, surrealism, paper collage, photography, mixed-materials, and fabric-based art that supports our desire to knit together all the literary pieces we uncover during our submissions call.

Before submitting, please read our About section to see if your work fits within Room’s mandate, then refer to the Submission Guidelines on how to format your work. We are an international feminist magazine, and encourage writing and art submitted from all over the world.

Submissions open August 14th and will be accepted on a rolling basis until we reach our submissions limit.
