Nara Monteiro is a Brazilian-Canadian editor, writer, and nerd based in Tkaronto. They edit for Room, serve as a managing editor at Augur magazine, and by day they crunch numbers for House of Anansi and Groundwood. Nara has a Master of Publishing from Simon Fraser University, where they wrote their thesis on the impact and survival of feminist literary magazines in Canada while serving as Room’s publisher.
