Hailing from sunny Maui, Hawaii, Mikiko Galpin is currently enrolled as a student in the UBC BFA Creative Writing program. They work in a variety of genres, including fiction, songwriting, playwriting, and graphic forms, and their work most often focuses on social issues and marginalized identities. Their play Go For Broke was produced in the 2015 Brave New Playrites Festival.
