Yilin Wang

Yilin Wang is a fiction writer, journalist, and poet who has lived in China, the U.S., Scotland, and Canada. Her fiction has appeared in Ricepaper and What If? Magazine, while her poetry has been published in The Best of Abyss & Apex Vol.2, Cerebration Journal, Loose Leaf Magazine, and Fault Lines Poetry Journal. She has also written non-fiction pieces about arts, culture, and travel for Business Insider, Matador Network, The Tyee, Canadian Newcomer Magazine, and Asian Traveller Magazine. Yilin is currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in creative writing at UBC, where she is at work on a fantasy novel inspired by Chinese folklore and a collection of speculative short stories. She has volunteered with literary organizations such as the Asian Canadian Writer's Workshop and World Poetry Canada and has hosted and participated in events with Word Vancouver and Asian Heritage Month.
