Room's 35th Anniversary Party

Room is in its 35th volume and that calls for celebration! Room has been providing essential opportunities for women writers and artists to showcase their work for 35 years, and you've been a part of that rich history. Help us celebrate our accomplishments past and present as we move full speed ahead into our 36th volume and beyond.

We are very pleased to invite you to join us at our 35th volume party on December 9th at 3pm at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Vancouver.

Join us for a late afternoon gathering featuring readings and art work displays by many of the contributing writers and artists from Issue 35.4: Labours. Edited by Lorrie Miller, Labours is the final issue of our 35th Volume. The issue features an interview with prominent Canadian personality and Room alumna Eleanor Wachtel. It also includes new creative non-fiction by performance artist, writer, and filmmaker Amber Dawn. This issue is filled with art and literature that exemplify the multiplicities of labour, from the toiling of typical and atypical work, to birthing, and the work of the heart.

We welcome you to come out and help us celebrate this milestone. Space is limited, so please RSVP.
